Planning a Long Path
On a grid this size, it pays to look at the whole board before writing. Mark the regions that the path must still cross, and make sure that no group of empty cells ends up cut off from the rest.
When a Region Gets Isolated
If a few empty cells can only be reached through one narrow passage, the path has to enter and leave them in a way that fits the numbers. Spotting such pockets early often decides a hard grid.
For Experienced Solvers
The 8x8 grids are the longest and the most demanding of the set. Solvers who enjoy the 7x7 puzzles will find the same rules with more to plan.
