Drawing Larger Numbers
Twenty shapes take up a lot of room. Small shapes in neat rows work best: two rows of ten, or four rows of five, both easy to count again at the end.
Tens and Ones in Pictures
A drawing of 16 can show one full row of ten and a shorter row of six, which makes the value of each digit visible.
Choosing the Right Sheet
Two exercises per page suit children who draw large; six per page leave small frames for those who already draw small and neat.
