How to Solve a 6x6 Kakuro
Write the combinations of the shortest runs first: two cells adding up to 3 are 1 and 2, three cells adding up to 24 are 7, 8 and 9. Where such a run crosses another one, the shared cell can only hold a digit both runs allow, and a whole small grid often unravels from that single cell.
Three Levels on a Small Grid
On Easy grids, a careful look at the clues is enough. Medium grids ask why a digit must sit in one cell of its run, for example the only cell whose crossing run allows it. Hard grids sometimes need a full run tested in your head before its first digit is certain.
A First Kakuro for Adults and Teens
One grid fills the page, with cells wide enough for pencil marks. Its short runs make it a good daily habit for practicing mental addition, and a friendly start for sudoku players curious about kakuro.
