How to Solve a 5x5 Slitherlink
Begin with the zeros: none of their four sides belongs to the loop, so mark each with a small x. Next, check the corner squares: a 3 there uses both of its outer edges, while a 1 there can use neither. Each new line ends at a dot that still needs a second one, and the loop moves forward from there.
Three Levels on a Small Loop
Easy grids keep more numbers, and counting is enough. Medium grids keep fewer, and each number must be read together with its four corners. At Hard, a line sometimes has to be assumed and followed until the loop closes too early or splits.
Drawing Clearly
Draw the loop with firm lines and mark the impossible sides with a small x. With large dots and a single grid per page, the 5x5 size keeps the drawing clean, which is half of the solve.
