What is the number 27?
The number 27 is an odd number that comes just after 26 and right before 28. It is not a prime number because it can be evenly divided by 3 and 9, in addition to 1 and itself. In American politics, William Howard Taft was the 27th president of the United States. He served from 1909 to 1913 and later became Chief Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court, the only person to hold both offices. In mathematics, 27 is three cubed (3 × 3 × 3), making it a perfect cube. In culture, the number 27 is often associated with the “27 Club,” a group of influential musicians and artists who tragically died at that age.
